Specialist Risk Group (SRG) announce their fifth acquisition of the year following the purchase of Emrose Insurance Brokers, subject to regulatory approval. Emrose have over 40 years of experience supporting clients operating within passenger transportation, with particular expertise in London Taxis.

Since SRG announced its new majority shareholder HGGC in December 2020, the specialist intermediary has completed a number of significant strategic moves. These include four acquisitions of specialist businesses, the most recent being CLS Risk Solutions The Group has also promoted Lee Anderson to Group Deputy CEO and appointed Clare Lebecq as Group COO to drive the next stage of growth.

Warren Downey, SRG Group CEO said: “We are thrilled for Emrose to join our Group to enhance our specialist offering. Emrose is a well-respected business in their markets and we are looking forward to working with the team to further support and grow the business.”

Emrose Insurance Brokers will sit within SRG’s rapidly expanding Retail division, Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions. In the last 12 months Insolvency Risk Services, KBIS British Equestrian and The Channel Partnership have joined SRIS.

As the Government continues to put measures in place to delay and control the outbreak we would like to reassure you that we are committed to supporting our clients through these uncertain times.

The office telephone number and emails are fully operational and we will continue to provide the highest levels of customer service. Our preferred communication method is by email and unfortunately there may be a delay on any enquiries.

Please note that our Dunbridge Street office is emporarily closed. Our head office at Seven Kings is open but is restricted to a maximum of two customers at any one time. Face masks must be worn when visiting. Any documents/information that has been requsted can be posted or emailed but please allow adequate time for any unknown delays.

Payments can generally be taken over the telephone by debit/credit card.


Important Information Regarding Your Taxi Policy


Extensions of trade use under Taxi Policies

For Antilo (Calpe Insurance), Granite Underwriting, Markerstudy, Sabre, Trident Underwriting policyholders:

In view of the current situation with the Covid-19 lockdown, Insurers has agreed to extend policies wishing to diversify into delivery activities (fast food, prescriptions, grocery shopping and small parcels) to enable them to continue to trade at no additional cost. This cover has been automatically included and no further documentation will be issued whilst the current situation exists.

TFP Schemes (Aviva) policyholders

This cover is also available, but we need to inform the Insurer. Please advise us if you intend undertaking this work in order that your policy can be noted.

Social Domestic and Pleasure Use

If you are not currently working, it may be possible to restrict the use under your Taxi Policy to Social Domestic and Pleasure only, at a reduced premium (this has to be for a minimum of one month). When you go back to work you can then increase back to Public Hire cover. If this is required, please contact us for further information.
